Forex Currency Predictions For 2008

January 8th, 2009 by ohmygoddd

Forex currency predictions are always hard to make, especially in volatile times like the one we are in now. But I will still try to do my best and provide you impotence my Foreign Exchange prediction for 2008 in the hopes that student loan consolidation faq will help you make more money in the following month.

Of course, I can’t give a forex prediction for every single currency in the confines of this article, and so will limit myself to just a few.

USD prediction - The US dollar has lost a great deal of its value in relations to all the other major currencies in the world. In recent days it has strengthened somewhat and I’ve even heard evaluations that it will continue to strengthen in the coming months. I disagree. The Fed is likely to continue to reduce interest rates which will make the dollar unattractive in comparison with other currencies. Furthermore, the crisis in the financial sector has still not said its final word, and we’re likely to see more investment institutions declare massive losses in the coming months.

Euro Prediction - The Euro has increased in value in relations to the US dollar and has even broken record high levels. This is a trend which I believe will continue in the near future for a number of reasons: Europe is less affected by the crisis in the financial sector, Europe shows little signs of a recession, the European interest rates are much higher than those in the US, Japan, and other central countries. Therefore, the Euro will continue to rise in value, and I would hold it.

British Pound Prediction - With all the talk about the recession which is looming over America, people miss the fact that the British Pound is also going through a slump. And indeed, the pound is under a great deal of negative pressure. The reason is that London is a huge financial center, and since the crisis is mainly in the financial sector, the British economy is likely to suffer.

To sum up, invest in the Euro, not in the Dollar or the Pound. This is my, shortened, Forex Currency Prediction for 2008.

Credit Cards - Can You Do Without Them?

January 6th, 2009 by ohmygoddd

As we all know credit card debt is out of control. The credit card debt is currently $8400 per household at an average annual percentage rate of 14.7 percent. In fact, about 18% of all consumer spending is on credit cards and is expected to reach 30% by 2006.

If you pay your credit cards off each month or don’t mind paying the interest they charge, by all means use them. However, entirely too many households are experiencing serious problems paying their bills because of their credit card debt.

Why do most people have credit cards? I believe that it provides a buffer just in case something comes up that they don’t have the cash to cover. At least that’s the original thinking.

In reality, once you have a credit card it is much easier to use than it is turning loose of your cash, even if you have the cash to pay car insurance cheap it. Also, we buy a lot of stuff with credit cards that we wouldn’t normally buy if we had to use real money.

I have nothing against credit cards. They are handy and can provide some very valuable rewards like frequent flyer miles. However, in many cases the rewards are over shadowed by the interest charged.

I like cash much better. You don’t have to sign anything and when you pay for something that’s all it will cost you. No interest, no bills, no late fees and no penalties.

There are no special secrets to saving money to use for the things you need, however, there are a few tricks that many use.

Two of the best known, but underestimated, is saving your change or the dollar bill savings plan. Most people don’t believe that these will provide enough money to do any good.

When my wife and I first started saving our change we were surprised that we could save about $75 a month just by emptying our pockets and purse at the end of the day. Believe me, at the time, I wasn’t making much money and $75 seemed like a lot especially because we didn’t miss it at all.

The dollar bills savings plan is just as simple. You never spend a dollar bill. If you buy something you simply use a larger bill. At the end of the day take all of your dollar bills and put them in a jar or box. It adds up quick.

There are a lot of ways to save money to avoid the need to use your credit cards but the key is to make it as simple as possible. Another important element is to think of that money as your “Crisis Fund” and not to be used to pay for your pizza on Saturday night.

The answer to the question posed in the title of this article is “Yes, you can do without your credit cards.”

You need to remember, when you use your credit cards you are using your future income not only to pay for the items you buy but also the interest and other charges. Since these charges can add up quickly you need to think long and hard before you buy anything with a credit card.

Will an Artificial Putting Green Help Your Game?

January 6th, 2009 by ohmygoddd

When thinking about installing an car direct insurance line putting green several questions come up. You need to choose the type of fake grass, the installation method, and as with all big projects you are probably asking yourself if it will actually help your golf game. This article will take a look at these questions and so you make some better decisions.

The first question that should be addressed is whether an artificial putting green will help your golf game. Part of the reason this question comes up so often is that fake grass has a different roll than real grass and the absolute truth is that if you have access to a real bent grass golf green everyday and during all seasons, then it would be better to be out on real grass.

The problem is that most of us do not have this access. This can be due to severe weather extremes that make real grass ungrowable or dormant most of the year, leaving the golf season short. And many golfers do not have the time or money to devote to going to their local course every time they would like to practice.

For this reason, having an artificial putting green in your backyard can be a great boost to your game because you have access year round. You can train in the off season, so to speak, and be ready to kick some butt by the time spring rolls back around. Natural grass does not allow for this, either at home or on the local course.

And even though, golf ball speed may be different on fake turf versus real grass, that is true for all golf courses and weather conditions. Golf in Scotland will be different than Florida and wet and dry conditions will require you to adjust your game. This means that no matter where you practice and play, you will constantly be playing under different conditions.

The practice that will benefit you most is perfecting the mechanics of your swing. An artificial putting green allows you to practice and find your true swing in the convenience of your backyard.

As to the material you will want to use and how to install the putting green, it is recommended to speak with your local suppliers and visit the PGA’s site to peruse the putting green standards.

When it comes to installing your green, there are many places that offer detailed instructions, but the basics are as follows. Kill all vegetation around the future putting green area. You will need to decide on the contours and golf ball cup locations of the area and support the area with a sub-base of compacted stone. Then cover with artificial turf, secure outer edges, and install the cups.

As you can see, an artificial putting green definitely has its place for serious golfers and weekend warriors alike. Enjoy your new private green and impress your friends with your improved short game.

Internet Game Controlled By The Player’s Mind Is Focus Of New Emotional-Techno Novel

January 5th, 2009 by ohmygoddd

WIPE
John Reyer Afamasaga
ET Fiction (2007)
ISBN: 9780980348613

John Reyer Afamasaga’s “WIPE” is the story of the video game named WIPE whose players’ thoughts are able to self-create the game while it is played. While WIPE acts like a virus, it also becomes a worldwide phenomenon and draws people together from across the globe in its fantastic power to entice people with its possibilities.

The process of how WIPE works is described in the novel in reference to the character Kevin and how he helps to create the game:

“He has some sort of vibe that WIPE feels and then it takes his idea and makes the level…It’s a chemical imbalance that is an ideal incubator for ideas. His brain activity equals the sum of neurons it takes to compose a file size recognizable by WIPE’s compiler, which it uploads through the controls and uses as the template for the rhythm of the logarithm, which then populates the base of the program, giving it its beginning, end, parameters and eventually its level.”

While WIPE the video game is at the center of the novel, the theme is also about the power of the human mind and the ability to turn a dream into reality.

The novel centers around three characters, beginning with the children, Polina Rada, an orphan in Russia, and her London pen pal, Alexvale Rokov III. Polina and Alexvale are not players of WIPE, but they are responsible for its creation. John Page is a player who has the opportunity to accident at work claim in the online phenomenon that is WIPE as he finds insight into how it works. Meanwhile, the world’s largest video game manufacturers compete to discover who created WIPE.

The plot is somewhat convoluted, and as I stated when I reviewed Afamasaga’s novel “Illicit Blade of Grass,” the author is demanding of his reader’s close attention. Reading Afamasaga’s novels is often like being in a maze or being intoxicated by language. I find myself getting caught up in his writing style, enjoying the rhythm of his words, only to find the lyrical and hyperbolic style has distracted me from the plot. But the joy of the writing style is worth the distraction. Afamasaga is extremely fond of rhythm and repetitive sounds. He has stated in interviews that his writing is influenced by techno music, which he references in “WIPE.” He refers to his genre as Emotional-Techno (ET Fiction). Here are a few examples of his use of rhythm and repetition in the novel:

GEE-LEEZ’s ritual hexes the sexes.

L-SOMASTIC, the 23-year old-nurse in South Africa, advances with her needle dripping with techno, technically enhancing the fruit from the funk of sweating and bodies grinded.

…the passersby stop passing by to watch…

Afamasaga is equally good with humor and metaphor. More than once I found myself laughing out-loud. The fast-paced energy of his humor reminded me of Kurt Vonnegut’s style. Again, here are a few examples:

Her parents kissed with their eyes shut tight to burn calories.

Also involved are three respectable businessmen who can be traced to narcotics in the Golden Triangle and the trade in humans across the former USSR, London, and Asia.

On the ceiling-high screen, the nurse and her needle walk the slippery floors of a hallway in a hospital for insane billionaires who have seen the silver-spoon spaceship.

In talking about the language, I realize I have been distracted from discussing the plot. Afamasaga’s plots are highly original while relying on metafiction and intertextual techniques. His characters appear in multiple novels, although the books do not read as a chronological series. Notably, the LMLA-ink group (LMLA stands for Lazoo, Metofeaz, Le Mac, and Afamasaga) makes several appearances, and note that Afamasaga writes himself in as a character.

Afamasaga enjoys playing with the borderline between fiction and reality. Suspension of disbelief is a must-have for his reader, and just when the reader may start to think the book is an unsolvable maze, its humorous lyrical lines and fast-moving plot about to cross the threshold into a nonsensical Alice in Wonderland world, the author steps in to remind us he is in control and playing a game with us. At one point, he intrudes into the storyline to tell us he has decided to change the margins and font of the book when he is going to write a conversation:

“As they eat, the following is worthy of special formatting techniques, like the one used to present the same idea for those who prescribe on celluloid to enhance a vision. This format will be used again during the course of events as the scribbler sees fit.”

At other times, Afamasaga considers the possibilities of what another creator might do with his storyline:

If Tarantino were to recognize the riff, he would send Samuel L Jackson…complete with a bible chapter in a dialogued verse…

I am not a fan of most postmodern writers. I often feel their attempts to play with the reader reflect some insecure need to prove how clever they are, and in the process, they forget the real job of the writer-to entertain. I do not have that issue with Afamasaga’s work. I may occasionally find myself confused, but I am never bored. I never, as with other authors, have felt the need to tell Afamasaga, “Stop with all the mechanics about novel writing and get on with the story.” While his theme or purpose is not always crystal clear to the reader, Afamasaga is definitely one who enjoys words, writing not because he tries to be clever, but simply because he has so much fun-the sheer easy flow of many humorous passages reflects how much he enjoys his craft and how diligently he has worked to craft his words into ironic humor that flows effortlessly.

If anything is lacking in Afamasaga’s writing, it may be descriptive character development, and yet, he labels his writing “emotional-techno” fiction-intended to create an emotion in the reader. He easily creates the feeling of humor in his reader, but he can also make us feel something deeper: “From a place without any reference of being wanted, she recalls the way he made her believe in a home, a mom, and a dad.” The moment of feeling is quick, like a sad note in a joyful song, but it has its affect. As Afamasaga continues to develop his craft, I will be interested to see if his works come to create a significant catharsis in his readers–something I have no doubt he will learn to play with to his advantage.

I previously suggested “Illicit Blade of Grass” was a good starting point for reading Afamasaga’s works, largely because of its short length. However, I enjoyed “WIPE” even more both for its greater accessibility and its humor. I recommend the reader visit www.etfiction.com to download “WIPE” and Afamasaga’s other novels for free. The website includes several additional resources including a timeline of the novels’ events, press releases and reviews, and the intended development of future books that will compose this intertextual, fictional maze. Never before have I seen anything like these novels. I doubt you have either.

Podcast Secret Tip - How to Repurose Your Podcast Into Preloaded Media Players

January 4th, 2009 by ohmygoddd

One way to repurpose mortgagerefinance podcast content is to pre-load a media player with your content. Here’s one way how it could work.

You go to an event, and somebody speaks and presents great information. Then, hosted exchange server hand you a CD or a DVD.

Well, how many people actually bring a portable CD player with them to an event anymore or anywhere anymore for that matter?

They bring their iPods, and even if they can download the content by going to a website, they have to connect with the Internet and sync things up.

A lot of people don’t even bring their laptops to events like these, and some attendees don’t even own laptops.

In the first offering of one of my series, we included a preloaded player for people who signed up, and we took a survey. People loved the preloaded portable player they received. The preloaded player included an media introduction class. It offered the attendees a way to start learning about podcasting with a preloaded media player.

You can do that with your series, too.

When you offer your content in this way, your customer can begin to consume it right away

There is no reason why you couldn’t take an entire season, your best of training or even everything you’ve done in podcasting,

and put it on a media player to hand to somebody. Five seconds later, they can put an earpiece in their ear, click the play button and start listening to you.

And that is pretty cool, don’t you think?

And are you ready to learn more about how I do it?

Then I invite you to check out www.AlexMandossianToday.comhttp://www.AlexMandossianToday.com and get involved in our upcoming Preview Call Training.

Real Estate is Still About Location, Location, Location

January 3rd, 2009 by ohmygoddd

Location impacts the rents you can get, the tenants you attract, and the problems you can encounter. It also impacts the appreciation of your property and the opportunities you may have in the future.

Ozzie Jurock wrote a book called Forget about Location, Location, Location and said that it’s actually about value, value, value. Other experts have said home mortgages with bad credit buy the worst house on a block regardless of where that block is located. We think it’s best to combine the search for value with the search for a location that will help you achieve your goals (you have taken the time to write down your goals haven’t you?).

I would rather own a well built home that requires little to no work in a slightly rougher area, then the worst built home in a good neighbourhood. That doesn’t mean location isn’t important, it just means location isn’t everything in a purchase.

If your goal is to “flip” a property (buy it cheap, renovate it, and resell) then you really do want to find that beat up house in a great neighbourhood. If your goal is to have a lower maintenance property that will attract good tenants, appreciate over the years, and you aren’t as worried about the amount you have to invest today, then you are looking for a great location and a good house. If you want good cashflow without putting much money down, you are likely Connecticut Lemon Laws to have to look in the lower demand areas to find the motivated sellers.

You see how goals are important in your choice of location? Your personality and risk tolerance also come into play. If you need to see your investment on a regular basis then you will want to look in your neighbourhood. If you prefer not to be involved at all, then you may want something further away from you.

If you aren’t sure where to look to find the properties that meet your goals, it’s time to begin your research. Here’s how we start our research:

1. Go to open houses (usually 2 - 4pm on Saturday and/or Sunday) and ask the agents lots of questions about sales in the area and prices in the area

2. Look at local listings in your newspaper and at MLS.ca (or realtor.com if you live in the U.S.)

3. Drive by your desired areas regularily, or better, go for walks along the streets you want to buy on

4. Speak to neighbours (walk by on a sunny day and people will be in their yards) about the houses in the area, what they like and don’t like about their area.

Once you determine what properties are selling for and if they are within your price range and goal objectives, your next task is to figure out rents. To do this I usually:

1. Browse online classifieds offered by newspapers across the country

2. Review Viewit.ca on a regular basis as they take photos of each listing as part of their service

3. Read CMHC published information

4. Speak to the real estate agents at open houses and ask them what they think their listing would get in rent, and ask about other properties in the area.

Quickly you will identify areas where you can buy something and rent it out at prices that meet your goals. And, if you have done your research well, you will be able to act quickly and confidently on opportunities when they do arise. You also may be able to grab them before they get on the market.

At the end of the day it’s still about location, but for us, it’s about finding the best location for your goals.

Being Confident - Developing Inner Game Strategies

January 2nd, 2009 by ohmygoddd

It happens to some of the best athletes, CEOs, actors, and public speakers in the world the loss of words, the inability to take action or even move, and the proverbial dropping of the ball. For some, choking under pressure comes at the 9th inning when the game is tied, bases are loaded, there are two outs and the best hitter in the league has just stepped up to the plate. For others it comes with the mere thought of playing the game.

An athlete, CEO, actor, or speaker can have all the outer game tools in his or her toolbox but if she doesn’t have the inner game needed to put those tools to work she will find herself frustrated, falling short of her full potential, and choking under pressure.

Imagine asp net web hosting inner game like the software in a computer. You can have the greatest hardware on the planet, a shiny new 32 inch monitor, slick new wireless keyboard and mouse, a really cool black tower with pretty blue lights, and a great workstation to put it all on but if you don’t have the proper software inside or if you have some old obsolete software to run the system and perform the tasks you want it, all that outer equipment or hardware won’t mean squat.

The inner game of confidence is your ability to control your focus, your state, and your emotions rather than letting them control or rule you. It’s the ability to believe in yourself and your ability to succeed.

I’ll go one step further and say it’s the knowing that you will succeed. The key for anyone looking to create more success in their lives whether in athletics, business, or even relationships is the ability to master their own inner game.

The empowering emotional state of being confident is triggered in most cases by an internal thought or vision. And so are the disempowering emotions of self doubt, frustration, fear, and disappointment.

Because of the way our brains process information every time that inner voice suggests something negative and you entertain that thought, your brain creates a picture or internal representation of that thought. If for example the pitcher facing that best hitter in the league were to say to himself, “don’t let this guy get a hit” and he entertained that thought his brain would immediately make a picture of the guy hitting it out of the park, dramatically increasing the likelihood of it happening.

So next time you’re in a antidpressant choke situation and that little inner voice says something that could keep you from succeeding, simply acknowledge it and usurp its power by saying “thanks but no thanks! Then refocus and take action.

4 Steps to Making Money Easy Online Part 2 - Business Decisions That Yield to Higher Profits

December 31st, 2008 by ohmygoddd

Every purchase related to your business plan and goals data raid recovery make should be a business decision. I would define a business decision as one that is an investment towards your goals. The only way that you will see your business start making money easy is through investing time and money.

Time and money are the only ways to grow your online business in a fast and steady manner. So when you first start seeing the dollars coming in, reinvest them, don’t blow it all on your dream holiday, until your business is established and bringing in a steady income. A business where you can create money on demand.

The key is to assess whether a purchase will have a return on investment. If you are just throwing money at a business and hoping for the best, then stop now! You have to think about your purchases - are you making a calculated investment and will it make your business more money in the long run?

So if you spend your money on a business in a box with a carbon copy website, which hundreds of other people have bought, then that is not a wise investment. However, if you hired a copywriter for $5000 to make sure your sales copy is really good, unique and converts well, then that would be an investment, as you’d expect to make a lot more than your initial investment layout.

The foundation of your online business is consistency, so initially your investments should be geared to achieving this consistency. Consistency in business online means steady flow of traffic, that traffic signing up to your list are ultimately buying your offerings and recommendations. The most important of those three is getting people to sign up to your list, as you have probably heard before - the money is the list. It is the way to create money on demand and the key to creating that million dollar business.

Another way of thinking about ROI, is the personal cost. Is working a 14 hour day having an affect on your family or even your health? Would you like to spend more time with them, but are stuck doing business chores? This is where the ROI is your family time which you can’t get back and outsourcing would be a wise investment in this case.

Lastly along this same line of thought, are you doing what you enjoy and using your strengths in the business activities you do day to day? Because you know the answer again - outsource it, so you can work on what you do enjoy.

Remember, you just run the show; you don’t have to do all the performances as well. And that’s how to determine whether investments in time or money will pay off in profits or pleasure time.
